Membership status:  101 club members (47 paid thru  2011)

 

Treasures report approved. Membership dues renewal ongoing.

 

Vice presidents report: Tonight’s program, using high-speed multi media formats for ham radio communications by Byron KCØNPF. Marches program, using green power energy for ham radio communications by Dave KCØUCN.

 

Rodney request Elmer information forms he handed out be returned ASAP.

 

KCØFOW reported from the tech group that all equipment is operating properly and a location for the 440 digital is work in progress.

 

Public service thanked the people that helped with the frozen goose run. Next event will be in May.

 

Olmsted ARES-KCØFOW needs ARES personal have their picture taken for the new ID’s. Have simplex frequencies programmed into your radios. See the RARC web site for information.

 

Dodge ARES-KCØNPF has two ARES members, are contacting more hams in Dodge County to register.

 

Olmsted county EOC is in assembly mode at the new location at 1421 3rd Ave NW. Sky-warn training at the international event center on March 14th. Advance course being offered in Stewartville on April 25.

 

Contesting: Mel-KCØP request logs be turned in for the VHF contest ASAP. You may turn them into Rodney at the meeting or e-mail them to Mel. There is a DX contest March 6th.

 

Education/Outreach: Game Haven boy scout camp is talking with RARC on a club station, and have offered the camp for field day 2011, The KOA site is also being considered. KCØUCN will make a presentation at the March meeting.

 

Pat Cahill is missing his orange ladder from the 2010 field day. KCØRPD to check the explorer trailer.

 

New Business:

The club is offering the Rochester & County EOC’s the use of the club trailer to support the EM-50 for additional equipment transport and storage. It will be stored at the county garage. We hold ownership and can use it when we need it.

 

Field day committee will be formed at the March meeting to establish the site for 2011.
