 06/14/2011 RARC meeting was called to order at 7:03 with 34 members present.

 

May meeting minutes where approved.

Membership status:  90 club members 

 

V-president- KDØEBT: Tonight’s program is Haz-Mat safety, Mike Jacobson discussed the Haz-mat manual and how to determine the properties of liquid and gases by their ID signs.

 

The July program will be a debriefing of field day. What worked, or did not. How the stations scored. What do we need to do next year, both short and long term adjustments

 

Tech Committee- KCØFOW: The small tower has been delivered to Game Haven camp.

 

The main tower bearings will be repaired by field day. A retro-fit of the main tower will be reviewed. The club generator is fixed and ready for field day.

 

The D-star repeater is working fine with a borrowed filter installed. The club will be purchasing a new filter.

 

Public Service -NØHZN: Thanks for the past events that hams have helped. Please check out the RARC web site for upcoming events.

 

ARES- KCØFOW: Reminder of applications and pictures for ID’s available at club meetings. ARES vests available at ARRL for $25 to $30. The old orange ARES vests will be used by ABØBW and KØRGR for ARES district use.

 

Skywarn- WØSTV: Reminder of the sky-warn net on the 147.255 repeater PL 100 on the first and third Mondays of each month at 9:00 PM.

 

Mel reported on the upcoming contests for the club members to get on the air.

 

Field day discussion on, schedules, equipment, food, drinks, grills, set up, and tear down reviewed.

 

Meeting closed for a short break before the haz-mat program.
