RARC minutes for April 10, 2012 The April RARC meeting was called to order by Scott Wright at 6:28PM with 28 members present. Glen Johnson was introduced as the program presenter on HK0NA DXpedition on Malpelo Island.John Scott reviewed the 2012 public service events. See the RARC web site to electronically sign up for any event. Dave Naatz announced that the portable masts are in transit. He is working on field day. A signup sheet was passed around the club, for activities for field day. Grant Kesselring reported the delivery driver needs help to unload the masts. Delivery expected Wednesday between 1&4 PM He will send out an e-mail with actual time for help. Peter Wollen brought in give away items for RARC members to have. It looked like all found new homes. The club voted to approve the purchase of write log version 11.4 by the club for field day. This will be the program to train on for field day. Peter and Neal announced that they will be operating QRP on April 22nd at Essex park from 12 to 4 PM. Neal will be operating his new radio. All are welcome to visit and see the latest in QRP radios. The club will accept any payments by pay pal and credit card. Service charges that the club will encore will be added to payments. The program for May has not been established at this time. The June meeting will be field day preparation. Steve announced sky-warn preparations and news from the Lacrosse NWS. The meeting ended at 6:52 with the program following. Submitted by W0STV |
