The June monthly club meeting was held on Tuesday,
June 13, 2006, at the American Red Cross building in
southeast Rochester.
Program: Contesting and Field Day - Peter Wollan (N8MHD)
Peter (N8MHD) pauses and gives thought to his next
point about contesting.

In the spirit of, and to prepare for Field Day, Peter (N8MHD)
gave a great presentation to RARC on the fine points
of basic contesting. Topics covered ranged from typical
contesting rules to sample QSOs. Field Day scoring, and
typical exchanges were also covered to help us prepare for
the yearly operating event coming up next weekend. I am
certain that understanding "Run" and "Search and Pounce (S&P)
strategies", and when to use them will be invaluable information
for the Field Day operators.
