RARC September 2006 Meeting Rewind

The September monthly club meeting was held on Tuesday, September 12, 2006, at the American Red Cross building in southeast Rochester. Program: Disaster Assessment Workshop - Red Cross The business portion of the club meeting was kept at a minimal length to ensure time for the Red Cross' Disaster Assessment Workshop. With the prerequisite of the Red Cross' Introduction to Disaster Services Training (found online here), the workshop focused on concepts, procedures, tools and resources that are vital to Disaster Assessment. Topics varied from techniques for assessing damage to the paperwork that companions it. Linda did a wonderful job answering questions and presenting the material. RARC thanks Linda and the Red Cross for their time and training. John (NØHZN) looks at photos from College for Kids. Ares members were excited to receive their Emergency Communications Vests

Jerry Nau thanked RARC for our contribution to College for Kids, and further discussed the College for Kids program. Jerry brought in photos of the program, and cake and coffee to show how appreciated our contribution was.
